Celebrate the first ladies of song with the Olivia Chindamo Sextet

‘She’s what every jazz instrumentalist wants to hear – when Olivia scats, it’s like having another great horn player in the band.’ James Morrison

Ella Fitzgerald, Anita O’Day, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone and Sarah Vaughan are just a few of the many iconic female jazz vocalists who made history each and every single time they took to the stage. Superstars in their own right, they delighted, dazzled and thrilled audiences with their extraordinary voices and enchanting spirits, their legacies inspiring generations of vocalists and instrumentalists alike. Join Australia’s very own darling of song, jazz vocalist Olivia Chindamo (Bell Award-winner for Young Australian Jazz Artist of the Year 2016) and her all-star band featuring Mat Jodrell (trumpet), Carl Mackey (saxophone), Mark Fitzgibbon (piano), Sam Anning (bass) and Hugh Harvey (drums) as they pay homage to jazz’s First Ladies of Song.
