Jason Sandercock, James Morrison's lead trumpeter, brings together 17 of Australia's finest jazz musicians to pay tribute to the Golden Age of big band swing: "An Evening with Ella" featuring Olivia Chindamo.
Olivia, 2016 Bell Award winner for Young Australian Jazz Artist of the Year, will showcase popular songs of Ella Fitzgerald's career, such as; Get Happy!, It Don't Mean A Thing and Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate The Positive, with orchestrations by Nelson Riddle, Billy May and Marty Paich.
Jason is quickly being recognised as one of Australia's most exciting, upcoming lead trumpet players. As a regular to both the Sydney and Melbourne music scenes, Jason has performed with many high profile musicians including James Morrison, Wycliffe Gordon, Kate Ceberano, Sarah McKenzie, and popular shows such as Tom Burlinson's ‘Sinatra at the Sands'.

Australian vocalist, Olivia Chindamo is a Melbourne based musician who is best known for her natural and effortless ability to improvise or "scat". She has firmly cemented her place in Australia's flourishing jazz scene and is being recognised internationally for her impressive performances, courageous solos, and fabulous talent.
The pair join together with an all star band to re-create "An Evening with Ella"; sure to get you dancing in your seat (or out of it).
